Billy Gerald Hansen, Jr.

          Billy Gerald Hansen Jr., 70, of Pollok, was born February 15, 1952, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Billy Gerald Hansen, Sr. and Mary Belle (Seaton) Hansen, and died Friday, August 12, 2022, at his residence.

          Billy loved to fish from the piers in Galveston Texas.  He loved to build and drive racecars and was at one time self-employed as a heavy equipment mechanic.  In recent years he has been completely devoted to his grandchildren.

          He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra Hansen of Pollok, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tiffany Hansen of Ralls, TX; daughter and son-in-law Tina and Frank Welsh of Wylie, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Rick Philpott of Lubbock, TX; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 siblings.

          Billy was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings.
