Carolyn "Precious" Brock Lee

         Funeral services for Carolyn Brock Lee, 77, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Jacob Cassey and Bro. John Harvey officiating. Interment will be at Narrow Way Cemetery in Hudson.

         Mrs. Lee was born on April 28, 1947, in Lufkin, Texas, to William Franklin Brock and Ola Dee Brock, and was welcomed into heaven Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home.

         Carolyn was a homemaker she took pride in raising her kids and making sure that “Home” was a place everyone wanted to be. She was an avid hunter, and her motto was “If it’s brown it’s down” she never missed an opportunity to bring home “The big one”. But to make no mistake she would drop everything for the grandchildren. She never missed a sports event, award ceremony, or school function. She was their biggest supporter. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. On any given weekend you could find her either at the casino or the bingo hall. She was known for cooking and if you came to her house hungry and left hungry it was your own fault. Her friends and family knew her as “precious” and that is exactly what she was. She was 4ft nothing full of sass. If you got her fired up you were in trouble. You didn’t mess with her kids and especially those grandkids. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and support she gave her family.      

          She is survived by her husband of 58 years James Jessie Lee; son and wife, JT and Karen Lee; daughter and husband, Jessica and Kirk Selman; daughter and husband, Sheila and Mark Mangrum; brother, Roland Brock; all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Hanna Ferguson, Gracie Henson, Sierra Ford, Jessie Austin Lee, Bailey Lee; great-grandchildren, Kashlyn and Cutter Ford, and Callie Henson.

           She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Franklin Brock; sisters, Helen Luce, Robbie Sterling, and Marie Matchett; half-sister, Elizabeth Marshal; brothers, WH “Chicken” Brock and James Brock; half-brother, RC Brock; grandchildren, Justin Grimes and Aston Lee.

            Pallbearers will be Dewayne Brock, Kevin Brock, Dustin Alvis, Payton Ferguson, Wesley Ford, Jimmy Lee, and Calvin Henson.

            Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Stringer, Windel Hightower, and Rabbit Griffin.

            Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
