Chad Ray Roberts

          Graveside services for Chad Ray Roberts, 36, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, September 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells with Rev. D.R. McNaughton officiating.

          Chad was born March 5, 1984 in Hobbs, New Mexico, the son of Raymond William Roberts and Jenell (Mettlen) Roberts, and died Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.

          To Chad, family was the most important to him and he loved spending time with them. He enjoyed playing video games with his son and cooking for his family and friends. Chad had the biggest heart and would give you the shirt off of his back. He was known as a very hard worker, a jokester, and had the most beautiful blue eyes.

          Chad is survived by his wife, Melissa Roberts of Lufkin; son, Ryland Roberts of Lufkin; mother, Jenell Roberts of Lufkin; father, Raymond Roberts of Hobbs, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Holly Roberts of Lufkin; sister, Brittany Roberts of Foley, AL; grandparents, Rubye and Johnie Mettlen of Lufkin and Darrell and Patsy Roberts of Hobbs, NM; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Ryland Roberts, Darrell Roberts, Jeremiah Lindsey, and Joseph Roberts.
