Charles Wayne Dixon Obituary

            Charles Wayne Dixon, 77, of Lufkin, was born November 15, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles Wilburn Dixon and Fannie Ethel (Ledbetter) Dixon, and died Friday, May 6, 2022, in Huntington, Texas.

            Mr. Dixon enjoyed working with his hands and building things, such as model airplanes, cars, and trains.  He loved the great outdoors and spent as much time there as possible.  He loved to watch sports and spoil his grandchildren.  He was a brave man being an 11 year cancer survivor. He bravely served his country in the United States Navy achieving one of the top ranks of Command Master Chief Petty Officer during a 31 year career.

            He is survived by his daughter, Charlenda Richards of Columbia, SC; daughter, Belinda Cruz of Halls, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Patricio Sanchez of Wells, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Amy Jo Dixon of Grassflat, PA; son, Michael Dixon of Lufkin, TX; son, Josh Dixon of Lufkin, TX; son, Nathan Dixon of Lufkin, TX; son, Jacob Dixon of Lufkin, TX; granddaughter, Cheyenne Kalka of Wells, TX; grandson, William Kalka of Wells, TX; granddaughter, Montanna Kalka of Wells, TX; grandson, Zachery Ralston of Halls, TX; 3 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Sue Dixon of St. Louis, MO; sister, Fannie Anderson of St. Louis, MO; along with numerous other family members and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda Dixon; daughter, Christy Dixon; son, Jeremiah Dixon; daughter Annisa Dixon; and brother, William Dixon.
