Funeral services for Christopher Joseph “Chris”  Ebarb, 27, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Interment will be at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin.

          Mr. Ebarb was born on July 27, 1997, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Jimmy Ray Ebarb and Patricia Williams Harrity, and died Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Chris enjoyed hanging out with friends and family. He had a passion for music, video games, and game design. Chris loved his dog “Moose” and Chinese food. Chris was known for being able to put a smile on others faces and would give the shirt on his back to help others.  

           He is survived by his sister, Amanda Ebarb of Lufkin; sister, Melinda Ebarb of Louisiana; sister, Deanna Ebarb of Lufkin; girlfriend, Caitlyn Landrum of Lufkin; aunt, Mary McCreary of Lufkin; aunt, Lynn Ebarb of Lufkin; uncle, Jay Ebarb of Lufkin; uncle, Ricky Ebarb of Lufkin; uncle, Billy Wayne Ebarb of Lufkin; uncle, Sammy Ebarb of Lufkin; uncle, John Harrity of Richmont, TX; grandmother, Johnnie Ebarb of Lufkin; special cousins, Matthew, Colton, Justice, Joe, Marcus, Deon, Michael, and Allydia; great-aunt, Leona Martin of Timpson, TX; great-aunt, Charlotte Harris of Cold Springs, TX; niece, Alyssa Ebarb; nephews, Caden and Ceth McAdams; along with numerous cousins, and uncles.   

           He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Ebarb and Patricia Williams Harrity; grandparent, Jimmie Monroe; aunt, Lisa Kay; uncle, Jimbo Ebarb; uncle, Billy Ray; uncle, George Mullins;  cousin, Robert Miller; and cousin, Clare Elizabeth Ebarb.

          Pallbearers Matthew Ebarb, Colton Burns, Justice Ebarb, Joe Moffitt, Marshall Plunk, and Marcus Davis Jr.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Weisinger and Deon Gasper.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home.
