Clarkie Lynne Owens

          Graveside services for Clarkie Lynne Owens, 82, of Broaddus, will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Homer Cemetery in Lufkin, with Pastor Don Lofton officiating.

          Mrs. Owens was born on January 18, 1944, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Arthur Burris and Clarkie May (Griffith) Burris, and died on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Owens was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Broaddus. She was a Girl Scout Troup Leader for many years. Mrs. Owens loved to travel the United States. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, to her grandson Owen, whom she adored.

          Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband of 62 years, Odis Wayne Owens of Broaddus; grandson and wife, Owen and Opal Hinson of Lufkin; son-in-law, Dennis Hinson of Lufkin; brother, Bill Burris of Nacogdoches; and cousin, Pam Risinger of Woodville.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Terri Hinson.
