Graveside services for Cletta Mae “Mammaw” Vick, 70, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin with Pastor Jan Albritton officiating.
Mrs. Vick was born July 25, 1948 in Letcher Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Herman Davis and Martha (Baker) Davis, and died Monday, July 1, 2019 in Lufkin.
Mrs. Vick retired from the Lufkin State Supported Living Center after working there for 40 years. She had a love for painting, drawing, and arts and crafts. Mrs. Vick loved her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Davis of Kennard; granddaughter and husband, Amanda and Eric Hemphill of Lufkin; granddaughter and husband, Emily and Zachry Powell of Lufkin; granddaughter and fiancé, Jamie Jackson and Kenneth Bergeron of Lufkin; and great-grandchildren, Hallie Hemphill, Finn Hemphill, and Noah Powell.
Mrs. Vick was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Thomas Houston Vick; and brothers, Cecil Davis, Clayton Davis, and Claude Davis.
Pallbearers will be Eric Hemphill, Zachry Powell, and Kenneth Bergeron.
Special memorials may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Ave., Lufkin, Texas 75904.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
