Funeral services for Collin Ray Musick, 22, of Zavalla, will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Ronald Merritt officiating.
Mr. Musick was born on April 15, 2003, in Lufkin, Texas, to James Darren Musick and Jackie Lee (Smith) Musick, and died Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.
Collin was a very bright man with a very loving sweet soul. Growing up he always wanted to join the Army but unfortunately due to a heart condition he was unable to. His dream in life was to be a history teacher. Collin enjoyed hunting and fishing, and hot rods especially the “Old School Trucks”. He loved his family dearly and spoiled his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, James and Jackie Musick of Zavalla; sister and husband, Stephanie and Randy Hester of Hudson; sister and husband, Tammy and Ronnie Merritt of Pollok; brother and husband, Dusty Page and Stephen Page of Woodville, TX; brother, Vesse Musick of Zavalla; brother, Jesse Musick of Pollok; brother, Blake Short of Ferri Day, LA; brother and wife, Brandon and Shelby Musick of Humble, TX; nieces and nephews, Nolan, Gracie, Grant, Charlie, and Anna; and grandfather, James Musick of Kennard, TX.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Teal; grandfather, Kenneth Neal; grandmother, Ruby Varnell Smith; grandfather, T.J. Smith; grandmother, Bessie Eberlon; and aunt, Debbie Haney.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
To my nieces and nephews, I love you, and I’ll always be by your side. I am your angel.
