David Michael Ratliff

          ­David Michael Ratliff, 73, of Spring, Texas, was born July 14, 1947 in Jackson, Mississippi, to Elbridge Garner “E.G.” Ratliff and Betty (Harrell) Garrett, and died Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in The Woodlands.

          Mr. Ratliff was an extremely well read man. He had a lifelong curiosity and passion for world religions and was well versed in all of them. Mr. Ratliff resided in and traveled to multiple countries throughout his life.

         He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Reagan and Misty Ratliff of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and John Worley of Nacogdoches; sister and brother-in-law, Linette and Keith Cockrell of Lufkin; and stepmother, Linda Rodgers Ratliff of Hudson.

        Mr. Ratliff was preceded in death by his parents.

        Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
