Dean Mezger

          Memorial services for Dean Mezger, 52, of Lufkin, will be held at a later date.

          Mr. Mezger was born March 30, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Adolph Richard Mezger and Bonnie (Berauer) Stewart, and died Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Lufkin, Texas.

          Dean loved the Tennessee Titans and was their #1 fan.  He enjoyed spending time at the beach and spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved BBQs and chili cookoffs with his family and friends.

          He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Tisha Mendez of Lufkin, TX; son Dylan Mezger of Lufkin, TX; son, Tyler Mezger of Lufkin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Mendez and Laura Farwell of Hudson, TX; daughter, Kristen Mendez of Lufkin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany Mendez and D.J. Parker of Lufkin, TX; grandchildren, Zoey, Matthew, Lauren, Kamryn, Noah, Blake, Benson, and Karson; mother, Bonnie Stewart of Lake Jackson, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Karen Mezger of Corrigan, TX; brother and sister-in-law, T. J. and Melissa Mezger of Lake Jackson, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Patricia Mezger of Lake Jackson, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

          He was preceded in death by his father; granddaughter, Natalie Chavez; and grandparents, Clem and Bea Berauer.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Mezger, Timothy Mezger, Joey Mezger, Anthony Mendez, and best friend Eric Harris.
