Debbie (Taylor) Modisette

         Memorial services for Debbie (Taylor) Modisette, 60, of Huntington, will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Richard Smith officiating.

          Debbie was born on June 5, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late John Kent Taylor and Barbara Ann (Willmon) Basham, and died Friday, December 29, 2023, at her residence.

         Debbie loved her family and was deeply devoted to them. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Debbie loved all things outdoors and that was her life. She was also a huge animal lover, especially dogs. 

          Debbie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Marilyn Taylor of Huntington, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Tammie Renee and Richard Smith of Otis, LA; brother, Chris Taylor of Pollok, TX; brother, Edward “Pooh Bear” Basham of Pollok, TX; sister, Jennifer Taylor of Texarkana, AR; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Jill Carrol, Mary Clark, Danny Ross Womack, and Tim Anderson.

          A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, prior to the memorial service.
