Denise (Havard) Covey

          Graveside services for Denise (Havard) Covey, 65, of Zavalla, will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Tom Havard Cemetery in Zavalla with Bro. Cary Modisett officiating.

          Mrs. Covey was born on January 25, 1960, in Lufkin, Texas, to Burlin Havard and Doris (Clark) Havard, and died Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas.

          Mrs. Covey enjoyed traveling and shopping. She loved her dogs very much. 

          Mrs. Covey is survived by her husband, Steven Covey of Weatherford, TX; daughter, Laura Wankan of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Wyatt and Caley Wankan of Pollok; grandson, Gus Wankan of Lufkin; granddaughter, Rilee Wankan of Lufkin; great-grandson, Myles Wankan of Pollok; and parents, Burlin and Doris Havard of Lufkin.

          She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Otis and Essie Havard and I.L. and Mary Clark.
