Denver W. Nix-Lorentz

        Memorial services for Denver W. Nix-Lorentz, 38, of Lufkin, will be held at a later date.

        Denver was born on April 7, 1986, in Lufkin, Texas, to Michael Leon Lorentz and Robbie Lynn (Nix) Apshire, and died Friday, February 7, 2025, in Lufkin.

        Denver was a dreamer. He was very creative and loved music of all kinds. Denver loved to travel and go to the lake. He enjoyed swimming and fishing. Denver was a very loyal friend.

        He is survived by his parents, Robbie and Ricky Apshire of Lufkin; son, Denver Wade Lorentz, Jr. of Lufkin; son, Jeremiah Ace Lorentz of Huntington; daughter, Casey Danielle Lorentz of Huntington; son, Lucas Wayne Lorentz of Huntington; and mother of his children, Hellen Marie Parrish of Lufkin.

       Denver was preceded in death by his biological father, Michael Leon Lorentz; and brother, Cody Lynn Scott.

       Honorary pallbearers will be Aubry Vail, Justin Moore, Ray George, and Randell Apshire.

       In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
