A Celebration of Life for Dmarcus J. Hadnot, 26, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeremy Yancey officiating. Interment will follow at Pollok Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember a man whose love and devotion knew no bounds.
Mr. Hadnot was born on May 21, 1999, to Jimmy Hadnot, Jr. and Shannon Simpson, and passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Lufkin.
Dmarcus leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and passionate family man whose greatest joy in life was his family.
He and his wife, Paige, were high school sweethearts who shared an enduring and unconditional love. A proud and dedicated provider, Dmarcus took great pride in protecting and caring for his family, and he found his greatest accomplishment in his daughter, Nia, who is his spitting image and the light of his life. He loved taking his girls on adventures and building a life filled with love and unforgettable moments.
Dmarcus was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, humor, and contagious laugh. He had a passion for adventure, fishing, and sports, and above all, he cherished spending time with his family who meant the world to him. His presence brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mr. Hadnot is survived by his beloved wife, Paige Hadnot; his treasured daughter, Nia Hadnot; mother, Shannon Simpson; father, Jimmy and Cartina Hadnot, Jr.; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Ashley and Cody Forrest; grandparents, Linda Napier, Jimmy and Deloris Hadnot, Sr., Sherley Davis; Stacy Lindsey, and Larry and Kim Simpson; brother and sister-in-law, Jamar and Karlee Simpson; sister, Breanna McQueen; sister, Destiny McQueen; sister-in-law, Taylor Spence; Nieces, Aria and Emory Simpson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Eva Gertrude Richmond.
Pallbearers will be Jamar Simpson, Brandon Helton, Dante Cintula, Kayden Frechette, Levi Frederick, and Lake Fernandez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Cook, Tristan Flowers, Cody Forrest, and Tedron Roberts.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Dmarcus’ love, laughter, and spirit will live on through those who loved him most. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Shafer Funeral Home.
