Graveside services for Don Neal, 68, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

          Mr. Neal was born on October 4, 1955, in Brady, Texas, and died Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Mr. Neal served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as the foreman of Colorado Stone & Company. Mr. Neal loved his time spent living in Colorado. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and watching his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Neal loved dogs. Above all he loved his Lord and Savior.

          He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Shaun Hebert of Hudson; son, Michael Prosise of Hudson; grandchildren, Gracie, Brayden, Addison, Jaxson, and Landon; mother, Glenda Evans of Mason, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Jean Bracy of Weatherford, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Chandonette Bracy and Michael Kneese of Lovington, NM; sister, Cindy Bracy of Washington; and sister, Donella Evans of Brady, TX.

          Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his biological father, Von Ray “Red” Bracy, Jr.; adopted father, Billy Jack Neal; son, Joshua Neal; brothers, Von Ray “Butch” Bracy III, George Bracy, and Fred Bracy; and best friend, Joe Leedriker, Jr.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Prosise, Shaun Hebert, Jaxson Hebert, and Landon Hebert.
