Donna Jeanne Calhoun

          A Memorial Service for Donna Jeanne Calhoun, 81, of Zavalla, will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas, with Bro. Grant Hanes officiating.

          Mrs. Calhoun was born on April 30, 1944, in Streator, Illinois, to the late Earl Warfield Dixon and Jeanne Alice (Cate) Dixon, and died Monday, February 16, 2026, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Calhoun enjoyed going to garage sales, diamond artwork, and puzzles. She loved Elvis Presley. Above all, Mrs. Calhoun loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

          She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Regina Calhoun; son, Charles Calhoun; grandchildren, Alyssa Mullins and husband Braden, Seth Calhoun, Arron Burns, and Samantha Clem; many great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bobby Dixon and wife Linda, and Donnie Dixon and wife Carol.

         Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Terry Calhoun; sister, Marianne Parmele; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Miles.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Calhoun, Mason Mullins, Braden Mullins, and Arron Burns.
