Memorial services for Donnie Glenn Neal, 73, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Scooter Kelley officiating.

          Mr. Neal was born on September 17, 1951, in Harris, Texas, to the late Richard Neal and Geneva Isbell Neal and died Monday, September 23, 2024, in Huntington.

          Mr. Neal enjoyed working in the logging business. He loved a good western, especially ones with John Wayne. Mr. Neal also loved the Dallas Cowboys and Blue Bell ice cream.

          He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Loraine and William Dugat of Lufkin; daughter, Christy Patel of Houston; granddaughter and husband, Whitney and Zane Anthony of Lufkin; granddaughter, Miranda Dugat of Diboll; grandson and wife, Will and Holly Dugat of Tacoma, WA; grandson, Sajan Patel of Houston; granddaughter, Mallory Patel of Houston; grandson, Braiden Patel of Houston; granddaughter, Kayla Neal of Lufkin; great-grandson, Alex Patel of Houston; great-granddaughter, Swayzie Anthony of Lufkin; great-grandson, Harland Davis of Diboll; great-grandson, Whitley Dugat of Tacoma, WA; brother-in-law, Frank Wilson of Diboll; and sister-in-law, Jean Byars of Lufkin.

           Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Neal; son, Donnie Neal, Jr.; grandson, Derek Ray Neal; and brother, Ray Neal.
