Memorial services for Douglas Earl Enfinger, 73, will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter’s Way Church in Lufkin, with Pastor Mark Wilke officiating.
Mr. Enfinger was born on August 6, 1952, in Dothan, Alabama, to the late Earl Enfinger and the late Hilda (Givens) Enfinger, and died Monday, April 6, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas.
Douglas found great joy in fishing and cooking. He loved to watch NASCAR and Alabama football. He loved listening to the birds sing and sitting by a fire in the great outdoors. He was always there to help anyone in need and was very generous with his time. He was a dedicated member of his Sunday school class, Pathfinders, at Carpenter’s Way Church. He was a proud Navy veteran and retired from B&D Security Services after years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Enfinger of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Jamie Enfinger of Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Carlie and Derek Kovacsy of Woodbridge, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Ashley LaCovara of Lufkin; son, David Enfinger of Lufkin; grandson, Kellan Enfinger; granddaughter, Charlie Enfinger; granddaughter, Avery Enfinger; granddaughter, Olivia LaCovara; grandson, Luke LaCovara; grandson, Andor Kovacsy; grandson, Bela Kovacsy; grandson, Imre Kovacsy; grandson, Elek Kovacsy; and grandson, Lehel Kovascy.
Mr. Enfinger was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Larry Enfinger.
Special memorials may be made to veteran’s charities or cancer foundations of your choice. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at Carpenter’s Way Church, Lufkin.
