Funeral services for Dustin Lee Blalock, 40, of Huntington, will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Kevin Height officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Huntington.

          Dustin was born on September 2, 1983, in Lufkin, Texas, and died Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Dustin was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Huntington. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to music, and going on cruises and to the lake. Dustin was a good dog trainer and loved his family very much.

          He is survived by his wife, Crystal Rodriguez Blalock of Lufkin; son, Bryson Rodriguez of Odessa; daughter, Layla Rodriguez of Lufkin; mother, Lena Alexander of Huntington; sister, Latisha Tarver of Lufkin; brother, Lee Tarver of Lufkin; sister, Neatha Flemon of Lufkin; brother, Micheal Blalock of Tyler; family, Kayla and Wade Jabbour of Lufkin; uncle, Albert Ray of Groveton; aunt, Kim Blalock of Groveton; niece, Nevaeh Holeman of Huntington; niece, DayOnna Holema of Diboll; nephew, Daniel Holeman III of Diboll; nephew, Zailyn Baptist of Huntington; niece, Cree Baptist of Huntington; niece, Ayla Jabbour of Lufkin; nephew, Chase Blalock of Groveton, TX; nephew, Hunter Blalock of Groveton;  mother-in-law, Deanna Mettlen of Lufkin; grandmother-in-law, Judy Cheney; and fur baby, Harley Blalock.

          Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, LaDonna and Connie Stapleton; and great-grandparents, Ida and Elton Wright.

          Pallbearers will be Jade Blythe, Chris Tobias, Michael Blalock, Lee Tarver, Zailyn Baptist, and Wade Jabbour.

          Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.
