Memorial service for Dwaine “Little Bub” Wade 81, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin Bro. Lonnie Crawford and Bro. Robert Baggett officiating.

         Mr. Wade was born on April 1, 1944, in Cushing, Texas, to the late Ennis Wade and Callie (Browning) Wade, and died Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Huntington.

         Mr. Wade was a member of Riverside Church of Hemphill. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed being outdoors and going hunting and fishing. Mr. Wade liked to cheer on his grandkids at sporting events. He was a Houston Astros baseball fan. He helped establish “The Most Excellent Way” faith based recovery of Huntington First Baptist Church where he made an impact on many lives. Mr. Wade was a Member of Homer Masonic Lodge 254. He truly loved his wife “Roxie”, and children/grandchildren.

          He is survived by his wife of 40 years Roxanna Wade of Huntington; daughter and husband, Denise and Royce Treadaway of Broaddus and  son and wife, Jim and Lisa Dickey of Zavalla, daughter and husband Angie and T.J. Wagner of Clyde, TX; grandchildren, Timfany and Mike Garcia, Kasey and Shelby Bryan, Zac and Elaina Treadaway, Destini and Jake Hicks, Tyler and Kaylee Green, Paige and Nathan Perry, Trapper and McKenna Dickey, Conner Wagner, and Cooper Wagner; 15 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

          He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Alishia (Wade) Buster; brother, Willie Wade; sister-in-law, Laverne Wade; and brother-in-law, James Self. 

          Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Wade, Roy Wade, Wesley Self, George Parr, Tyler Green, Trapper Dickey, Conner Wagner, Cooper Wagner, Kasey Bryan, and Zac Treadaway.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
