E.B. (Rusty) Cluck Jr.

          Memorial services for E.B. (Rusty) Cluck, 76, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin  with Eugene Bryan (Trey) Cluck III officiating.

          Mr. Cluck was born on January 24, 1948, in Beaumont , Texas , to the late Eugene Bryan Cluck Sr. and, Jewel Beatrice Edwards Cluck and died Friday, February 2, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Rusty was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. He graduated from Forest Park High School in 1966. After High School he went to Lamar University where he met Becky, the love of his life and married in 1967.

          He is survived by his wife, Rebecca L Cluck, of Lufkin; daughter and husband, Stacy Lynne and Robert Snell of Lufkin; daughter and husband, Sara Elizabeth and Christopher Shirley of Rio Vista, TX; son and wife, Eugene Bryan (Trey) Cluck III and Kendra L Cluck of Crandall, TX; daughter and husband, Schuyler Alexis and Allen Bacon of Diboll; granddaughter and husband, Taylor and Deryk Weeks of Arlington, TX; grandson, Trenton Baskey of Cleburne, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Lyday of Ruskin, FL; granddaughter, Hannah Snell of Lufkin; granddaughter, Greer G. Bacon of Diboll; granddaughter, Marissa Bacon of Lufkin; granddaughter Samantha Bacon of Diboll; great grandchildren, Elliott Jean and Oliver Weeks of Arlington, TX; beloved sisters-in-law, “The Yaya’s” and their spouses.  

          He was preceded in death by parents, sister, Thelda L. Huff, many loved aunts and uncles, and former son-in-law Niall P. Charrett.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Barbay, Terry Oliver, the late Thomas Savant,  and the late Linus White.

          The Cluck family would like to give special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.
