Memorial services for Eda Elizabeth (Nichols) Fischer, 83, of Huntington, are pending.
Mrs. Fischer was born on January 31, 1942, in Goodland, Kansas, to the late Earl Nichols and Almima Frances (Barnum) Baker, and died Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of Life Gate Church. She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother of many children. Mrs. Fischer was a licensed and ordained minister. She was a prayer warrior, counselor aide, and avid reader. Mrs. Fischer was an artist and enjoyed drawing and making jewelry. She also loved flowers and was wonderful at making floral arrangements.
Mrs. Fischer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Marcia Fischer of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, William and Honey Fischer of California; daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Terence Drake of Texas; 8 grandchildren; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Agness Page of Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Patty Mickish of Oklahoma; sister, Cathy Chumley of Texas; along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Fischer; brothers, John Nichols, Clyde Nichols, and Eldon Nichols.
Honorary pallbearers will be Albert “Bear” Semprevivo and Pandora McGriff.
