Graveside services for Elizabeth Ann Wilkins, 87, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Park in Longview, TX with Pastor Mark Newton officiating.
Mrs. Wilkins was born on August 5, 1937, in Grand Saline, Texas, to the late Roy Arthur Dane and Nellie Elizabeth (Robinson) Dane, and died Monday, March 3, 2025, in Lufkin.
Elizabeth loved family gatherings. She loved to plan and shop and absolutely loved to cook for her family and friends. She was a huge fan of Longview Lobos and cheered them on whenever she could. She had a great eye for design and used it exceptionally well on interior decorating. She also loved spending time in her yard and garden tending to her flowers and plants. She never met a stranger and would chat with anyone who wished. She worked for MHMR as a drug and alcohol counselor for many years.
She is survived by her son, Dane Stevens of Longview, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Susie and Dean Worley of Lufkin, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Julia Dane of The Villages, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Lester Mahler of Thibodeaux, LA; step-son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janie Wilkins of Houston, TX; step-son and daughter-in-law, Scotty and Melissa Wilkins of Tyler, TX; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sidney Wilkins; and sister, Mary Rogers.
