Memorial services for Estell Parrott, 88, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Chapel in Lufkin with Bro. Roger Justus and Sister Charlene Justus officiating.
Mrs. Parrott was born on December 27, 1936, in Wood County, Texas, to the late Vernon Cleo Phillips and Cliffie Estell (Jones) Phillips, and died Monday, August 11, 2025, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Parrott enjoyed making memories while traveling and seeing new places. She had a talent for cooking, sewing, and crocheting. She loved to go antique shopping for crystal and depression glass that she collected. She loved the company of her cats. Above all, her family was very important to her, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leland Cannon; son, Loyd Parrott; granddaughter and husband, Kimberly and Daniel Justus; grandson and fiancé; Gregory Cannon and Brittany Havard; grandson and wife, Nathan and Delynn Cannon; granddaughter and husband, Denise and Clinton Kennedy; grandson, Darryl Parrott, Jr.; grandson, Jay Michael Parrott; granddaughter, Veronica Mefford; grandson, Matthew Parrott; brother, Jerry Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Ronnie Lawson; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loyd Parrott. Sr.; son, Darryl Parrot, Sr.; sisters, Peggy Barnett, Virginia Lacey, and Sylvia Henry; brother, Vernon Phillips; sisters-in-laws, Bonita and Charlene Phillips; and great-grandson, Triston Justus.
