Graveside services for Ester Louise McCarty, 57, of Waldron, Arkansas, will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Zavalla Cemetery with Bro. Ty Phillips officiating.

          Ester was born on April 9, 1968, in Sweeny, Texas, to the late David Williams and Mary (Wagstaff) Williams, and died Sunday, July 27, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas.

          Ester loved to crochet and fish. She enjoyed going to the casino and the mountains. Ester loved a good strong cup of coffee. 

          She is survived by her husband, Truman Locke; children, David McCarty and wife Mary, Elizabeth Letney and husband Jack, Edward “Boo” McCarty and wife Dennise, Morgan Allen and husband Johnathan, Truman Locke, and Hunter Wilson; grandchildren, Layla McCarty, Nicole Rush, Jonah Letney, Hayden McCarty, Leland Allen, Nevaeh Hargis, Jacilyn Letney, Cole Hlavaty, Jeremiah Letney, Eli McCarty, Ensliey Allen, Daysi Luther, Justice Letney, and Jaisea Letney; sisters, Terry Akridge and Mary Lakey; sister and brother-in-law, Sissy and Elbert Fenton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susan and Kevin Jensen; along with numerous nieces and nephew.

          Ester was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, Joey Marbella.  

          Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home, prior to the graveside service.
