Esther Ochoa

          Funeral services for Esther Ochoa, 67, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Lufkin with Father Jose Marin officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Memorial Park .

          Mrs. Ochoa was born on September 20, 1957, in Mexico, to Manuel Soto and Maria de los Angeles Soto, and died Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Ochoa was an honorable woman who loved her children and set an example that will always be remembered. She loved to play bingo and spend time with her family. Mrs. Ochoa above all loved and cherished her family.   

         She is survived by her son and wife, Leonardo and Diana Ochoa of Alvarado; son, Jose Ochoa of Baytown; brothers, Abel Soto, Baltazar Soto, Manuel Soto, Merquiades Soto, Enrique Soto, and Beto Soto; sisters, Domitila Munoz, Petra Soto, and Auxilio Soto.

         She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Ochoa; daughter, Martha Alicia Ochoa; and brother, Jose Soto.

          Pallbearers will be Leonardo Ochoa, Jose Ochoa, Abel Soto, Baltazar Soto, Manuel Soto, and Enrique Soto.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
