Everett R. “Dick” Journee, 88, of Lufkin, was born March 19, 1933, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Charles Edward Journee and Eleanor Jane (Crone) Journee, and died Monday, August 16, 2021, in Lufkin.

Mr. Journee is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce (Sawyer) Journee of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Steve Johnson of Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Debra Journee of Jasper, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tommy Cobb of Kountze, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Cynthia Journee of The Woodlands, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Britney Journee of Idaho; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Evelyn Elizabeth (Beth) Peek.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
