Funeral services for Fay Castilaw, 75, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Pastor Ben Stokes officiating. Interment will follow at Berry Cemetery.

          Mrs. Castilaw was born on August 9, 1949, in Kountze, Texas, to the late Bennie Smith and Theresa (Faust) Smith, and died Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Castilaw was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her garden and planting flowers and loved going on vacation to Arkansas to see the mountains. She will be remembered for outgoing and generous personality.

          Mrs. Castilaw is survived by her daughter, Fay Castilaw of Lufkin; son, Anthony Castilaw of Bryan, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and LeeAnn Castilaw of Lufkin; granddaughter and husband, Jenna Spacek and Anthony Baron of Denver, CO; grandson and fiancé, Darren Castilaw and Audrey Jacobson of Mineola, TX; granddaughter, Cameron Castilaw of College Station, TX; grandson and fiancé, Colton Castilaw and Natalie Shreve of Sugarland, TX; granddaughter, Emily Castilaw of Dallas, TX; granddaughter and fiancé, Gracie Castilaw and Clayton Terrell of College Station, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Thresa Smith of Centerville, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and John McCorquodale of Newton, TX; sister, Jane Read of Newton, TX; and brother, Allen Smith of Kountze, TX.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Ray Castilaw; sisters, Lottie Lou and Lera Mae Smith; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Castilaw.

          Special memorials may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Ave., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

          Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
