Graveside services for Forest Earl Bailey, Sr., 81, of Zavalla, will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Concord Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas, with Brother Amos Hanzel and Brian Nelson officiating, and Masonic rites under the auspices of the Angelina Lodge #1263 A.F. & A.M.

          Mr. Bailey was born on November 1, 1944, in Zavalla, Texas, to the late Farest Fannin Bailey and the late Virgie (McSwain) Bailey, and died on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Zavalla.

          He enjoyed carpentry work, fishing and working in his garden. He retired from Angelina County after many years as a dedicated employee there. He was also a proud member of the Angelina Lodge # 1263.

          Mr. Bailey is survived by daughter, Cindy Bailey of Zavalla; son and girlfriend, Forest “Bo” Bailey and Chassity Bryan of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kristy Bailey of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Amanda Bailey of Zavalla; daughter, Amy Stout of Silsbee; grandson, Jacob Bailey of Zavalla; grandson and girlfriend, Mason Bailey and Holly Choate of Zavalla; grandson, Rylan Bailey of Pollok; granddaughter, Shelby Bailey of Pollok; grandson, Matt Bailey of Zavalla; granddaughter, Ashlyn Bailey of Pollok; granddaughter, Brookelyn Stout of Silsbee; granddaughter, Baylee Stout of Silsbee; grandson, Maverick Bailey of Zavalla; grandson, Morgan Bailey of Zavalla; great-granddaughter, Paisley Arnold of Zavalla; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Sandy Bailey of Silsbee; special friends, Dorothy and Larry Sutton of Zavalla; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; and 4 brothers.

          Pallbearers will be Jacob Bailey, Mason Bailey, Rylan Bailey, Matt Bailey, Maverick Bailey, and Morgan Bailey.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Delbert Jones, Jeremy Chaney, and Dale Townsend.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas.
