Gary Lynn Loving

         Funeral services for Gary Lynn Loving, 66, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Maynard Phillips and Bro. Chris Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Grimes Cemetery.

          Mr. Loving was born March 30,1955, in Lufkin, Texas, to Charles Edward Loving and Adabell (Scoggins) Loving, and died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his residence.

          Mr. Loving was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lufkin. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. In his younger years, Mr. Loving loved to hunt and fish. He also loved his family, friends, and church.

        Mr. Loving is survived by his wife of 44 years, Denise Loving of Lufkin; son, David Loving of Lufkin; granddaughter, Cortny Luna of Lufkin; grandson, Izac Loving of College Station; brother and sister-in-law, Charles H. and Pat Loving of Shreveport, LA; mother, Ada Loving of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Loving; daughter, Jimi Lynne Loving; and brother, Louis Loving.

          Pallbearers will be Doug Loving, Jason Loving, Louis Loving, Jr., Austin Loving, John Edwards, and David Wideman.

          Special memorials may be made to Harbor Hospice, 517 Gaslight Blvd., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

          Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
