Our Mom was passionate about spreading Jehovah’s word and the bible, and attending bible studies. She was a long time member of her church for 40 years. She spent her spare time working in her garden. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our mom also loved her dog, Puchete. She enjoyed listening to music.
Our Mom was a very strong lady. She would get up early and tend to her plants and pet, this was part of her virtues. Mom was tough and supportive of all of her children and grandchildren, which she loved so much. She was courageous, generous, hospitable, and cared for all that visited her home. Our Mom studied and taught bible studies. Before her sickness, she was a regular pioneer with 25 bible studies, which she achieved without owning a vehicle. She was most happy about having served Jehovah for over 40 years, and touched the lives of many people. We love you, Mom!
Our Mom is survived by her children, Carmela Gutierrez, Maritza Gutierrez, Martha Hunter, Guillermo Gutierrez, Joseph Riccio and spouse, Franz Riccio, Marcela Manetta-Riccio, Giuliano Riccio, and Jacqueline Riccio; grandchildren, Betsy, Jean Paul, Katherine, Gianluca, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Michael, Alexus, Carolyn, Sebastian, and Gaela; great great-grandchildren, Tatum and Sutton.
Pallbearers will be Franz Riccio, Gianluca Riccio, Joseph Riccio, Michael Clemens, Juan Rivera, and Corey Clemens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
