Guillermo "Willie" Torres Jr.

         Memorial services for Guillermo “Willie” Torres Jr., 27, of Diboll, TX,  will be held Sunday December 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Gary Trevino officiating.

         Willie was born February 22, 1993, in Eagle Pass to parents, Guillermo and Ruby Torres and died Friday, December 18, 2020 in Diboll.

         Willie loved his life, traveling, his dogs, and his family unconditionally. He has accomplished so much and set the bar high, not only for himself, but for anyone he crossed paths with.  He had a kind, generous soul yet was equally as witty to where he made an impact on everyone he interacted with. Willie was such a dedicated individual, that gave his 110% to anything and everything he set his mind to. Traveling, martial arts, computer networking, comic books, gaming, his dogs are just a few things that consisted of his life. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life, like coming home after a long day of work to his family, sitting on the couch and eating pizza. He has touched so many lives with his strong sense of character with an unmatched sense of humor.

          Willie was honorably discharged from the Army 1st Squadron 2nd Calvary Regiment Apache Troop, of which he had strong bonds and connections to so many Army brothers from all over the world. Many he was still in contact with daily.

          He will undoubtedly, truly be missed by so many. He was a gem of a human, one that is hard to come across through just an ordinary crowd. He has left a strong impact on all of us and we will continue to remember him and honor the beautiful life he lived. He will forever be irreplaceable.

          He is survived by his parents, Guillermo and Ruby Torres of Eagle Pass, Texas; his wife, Ariana Franco of Diboll, Texas; brothers, Diego Torres and Leonardo Torres of Eagle Pass, Texas; step-son Andy Garcia of Diboll, Texas.
