Memorial Services for Guy Jolin, 87, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Lufkin, with Pastor Gene Hazell officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Robbins Cemetery in Voluntown, Connecticut.
Mr. Jolin was born on October 5, 1938, in Voluntown, Connecticut, to the late Ernest William Jolin, Sr. and Jennie Ann (Nowosielski) Jolin, and died on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
Guy served in the United States Air Force and then retired after serving in the United States Army. He attended Fairview Baptist Church in Lufkin. Mr. Jolin loved Jesus and served as a chaplain. He adored his family and loved tractors.
He is survived by his daughter, Guiia Brooks of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Chris Hauffe of Red Oak, TX; grandson and wife, Jeromy and Cristal Melton of Lufkin; grandson, Zackary Brooks of San Antonio; grandson, Jadeon Brooks of San Antonio; grandson, Ethan Brooks of San Antonio; granddaughter, Mia Hauffe of Austin; grandson, Louis Hauffe of Red Oak, Texas; great-granddaughter, Viylana Melton of Kileen, TX; and great-granddaughter, Elora Melton of Lufkin.
Mr. Jolin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jolin; brother, Joey Jolin; and sister, Theresa Jolin.
