Harrmann W. “Mr. Bill” Fischer 86, of Huntington, was born on January 10, 1939, in Snohomish, Washington, to the late Melvin Fischer and Clara Bluemankanp, and died Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Huntington.
Mr. Fischer served his country proudly in the U.S. Army for 18 years and was well known amongst hospital administration circles. Once retired he drove a truck for 20 years and then went on to drive a handicap bus. Mr. Fischer then went on to work in patient transport for 3 years. When Mr. Fischer was not working he enjoyed fishing, puzzles, gardening, and landscaping.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eda Fischer of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Marcia Fischer of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, William and Honey Fischer of California; daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Terence Drake of Huntington; 8 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; along with many other family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 siblings; 2 grandchildren; and Lacey, his faithful furry companion of 8 years.
