Memorial services for Helen Faye Woodruff Neal, 73, of Lufkin, will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Bryan Lipscomb officiating.
Mrs. Helen was born on December 3, 1950, in Dayton, Texas, to the late Frank Willson and Elizabeth Loraine (Lindsay) Willson, and died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Helen had a love for her job because she loved people. She had a personality that drew people to her and she never met a stranger. She loved being social and enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. Mrs. Helen loved cooking, watching Law and Order, and collecting angels. Above all, she loved and cherished her family. Mrs. Helen was strong in her faith and loved her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donnie Neal of Lufkin; daughter and husband, Loraine and Mack Dugat of Lufkin; daughter, Christy Patel of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Kayla Neal of Central, TX; granddaughter, Whitney Anthony of Lufkin; granddaughter, Miranda Dugat of Lufkin; grandson, William Dugat Jr. of Tacoma, WA; grandson, Sajan Patel of Porter, TX; granddaughter, Mallory Patel of Houston, TX; grandson Braden Patel of Porter, TX; great-grandson, Alex Patel of Porter, TX; sister, Jean Byars of Hudson; brother, Frank Willson of Diboll; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Kitty Willson; son, Donnie Neal Jr.; and brother, Jack Willson.
