Heriberto Alvarez

          Visitation for Heriberto Alvarez, 26, of Diboll, will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

          Heriberto was born on October 17, 1999, in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico, to  Dagoberto Alvarez Martinez and Ma. Jesus Miranda Garcia and died Monday, July 6, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

          Heriberto was of the Catholic faith. He loved spending quality time with his family. Heriberto enjoyed gardening while listening to music and playing cards with his friends.

          He is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez of Guanajuato, MX; son, Elian Heriberto Alvarez of Guanajuato, MX; father, Dagoberto Alvarez-Martinez of Guanajuato, MX; mother, Ma. Jesus Miranda-Garcia of Guanajuato, MX; sister and brother-in-law, Mariela Alvarez-Miranda and Juan Carlos Camacho-Rios of Guanajuato, MX;  brother and sister-in-law, Luis Jesus Alvarez-Miranda and Leslie Padilla of Diboll, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Dulce Guadalupe Alvarez-Miranda and Fidel Caudillo-Pantoja of Guanajuato, MX; grandfather, Ernesto Alvarez-Ayala; nephews, Axel Antonio Camacho, Carlos Gael Camacho, both of Guanajuato, MX; nephew, Jhaziel Alvarez of Diboll, TX; and nephew, Fidel Neitan Caudillo of Guanajuato, MX.

          Heriberto was preceded in death by his grandfather, Miguel Miranda Albizu; grandmother, Maria Puerza Garcia-Hernandez; and grandmother, Ma. Jesus Martinez-Juarez.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Luis Jesus Alvarez, Luis Mendoza, and Angel Garcia.
