Mass of Christian Burial for Homero Trevino, 62, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin with Fr. Raymundo Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery
Mr. Trevino was born September 23, 1955, in Hualahuises Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the son of Bernardino Trevino Pedraza and Basilia Trevino De Leon, and died Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Lufkin.
Homero was a man with a great heart. He was very dedicated to his family and friends. Homero was always happy, and friendly with everyone he met, and never thought bad about anyone. He always saw the positive in everyone. Homero was an amazing father and husband.
Homero met the loved of his life, Rosi in Linares, Nuevo Leon. In 1983, they joined their lives together and started their family with a lot of love and full of dreams. In 1984, his “Matotias” was born, his other great love. In 1989, his son was born “El Marranito”. With the birth of his son, their family was complete and full of love.
Homero was always in love with his wife Rosi, his “Viejita”. He will always live in our hearts, as a man of integrity. Homero was an amazing and loving son, brother, husband, father and friend.
Mr. Trevino is survived by his wife, Rosa Alicia Trevino; daughter, Maria Alicia Trevino; son, Homero Heli Trevino; and brothers and sisters, Consuelo Trevino, Calixto Trevino, Felipe Trevino, Rodolfo Trevino, Ofelia Trevino, Dora Trevino, Bernandino Trevino, Maria Magdalena Trevino, Guadalupe Trevino, Marcelina Trevino, Florencio Trevino, Maria Dolores Trevino, Juana Maria Trevino, and Gerardo F. Trevino.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Homero Heli Trevino, Bernardino Trevino, Jeciel Garza, Edgar F. Herrera, Porfirio Puente, Javier Puente, Miguel Puente, and Fernando Tristan III.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
