Inez Licwinko, 88, of Lufkin, was born on January 25, 1937, in Marshall, Minnesota, to the late William Black and Jessie Hamilton, and died Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Lufkin.
Ms. Licwinko was one of 13 children; at a very young age, she learned the importance of hard work. She spent many years working for Lufkin State Supported Living Center and retired from there. Soon after retirement she began a job at Woodland Heights in the food service department that she also later retired from. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, cross stitching, and was an excellent seamstress. Above all she loved her family, and her best time was spent alongside them.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Watson of Central; son, Larry Licwinko of Lufkin; daughter, Laura Muhs of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Shelly Calahan, Kelly Calahan, Kevin and Samantha Watson, Jason Licwinko, James Licwinko, Rob and Brittany Shore, Michael and Jessie Licwinko, Andrew and Gabby Licwinko , Jenna and Mark Bennett, and Stephen and Kyla Licwinko; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Black and Jessie Hamilton; 12 brothers and sisters; daughter, Beverly Klesen; son-in-law, Garry Muhs; and granddaughter, Nicole Dougherty.

In honor of Inez’s request, there will not be a viewing or funeral service. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
