Funeral services for Isabel (Santana) Luna, 84, of Diboll, will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Diboll with Pastor Sergio Zapata officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.

            Mrs. Luna was born on May 18, 1942, in Valparaíso, Zacatecas, Mexico, to the late Jose Santana and Eloisa (Pina) Santana, and died Saturday, August 8, 2026, at her residence.

            Mrs. Luna was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Diboll. She loved her church and reading her Bible. Mrs. Luna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She loved to take care of her family, especially her grandchildren and her most asked question for them was “Did you eat?”. Mrs. Luna loved to cook for her family and at Christmas she always made tamales. She loved her family deeply and will be dearly missed.

          Mrs. Luna is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Luna; daughter and son-in-law, Amparo Luna and Jaime Herrera; daughter and son-in-law, Yesenia and Julio Franco; daughter and son-in-law, Irma and Rome Sanchez; son and daughter-in-law, Jose and Maria D. Luna; son and daughter-in-law, Gerardo and Grace Luna; daughter and fiancé, Celia Luna and Cory Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Elias and Desi Luna; grandchildren, Amy and Jonathan Trujillo, Betty Lou and Tino Lopez, Isabel and Lewis Banuelos, Elizabeth and Alex Lopez, Fabian and Alix Reyes, Krystal and Dustin Dumdei, J.J. Franco, Kevin and Jessica Franco, Allison Sanchez, Angie Sanchez, Adam Sanchez, Jackie and Gerardo Hernandez, Jonathan Sanchez, Emily Luna, Gerardo Luna, Tristen Luna, Caleb Encarnación, Nate Encarnación, Alex Luna and Perla Alday, Sophia Luna, and Jose “Gordo” Luna; along with numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her siblings.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jose Luna; son, Jose Antonio Luna; and granddaughter, Rebecca Luna.

            Pallbearers will be Fabian Reyes, Kevin Franco, Adam Sanchez, Alex Luna, Jose Luna, Caleb Encarnación, Nate Encarnación, and Gerardo Luna.

            Honorary pallbearer will be Tristen Luna.

            Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.
