Isidro "Chilo" Rodriguez

          Funeral services for Isidro "Chilo" Rodriguez, 53, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lufkin with Father Jose Marin officiating.

          Mr. Rodriguez was born March 12, 1969, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Marcos Rodriguez and Reyna Govea, and died Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Lufkin.

          Mr. Rodriguez worked at The Grand for over 20 years where he was a manager at the venue. He spent most of his time working.  He was simple, direct, but a person who was always willing to help out.

He is survived by his son, Bernardo Rodriguez, of Lufkin; daughter, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez of Diboll; mother, Reyna Govea of Mexico; 7 sisters; 5 brothers; mother of his children, Carmen Miranda of Diboll; and longtime friend, Terry Carnes of Lufkin.

          Pallbearers will be Bernardo Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, Ranulfo Rodriguez, Vale Rodriguez, Raul Hernandez and Gerardo Rodriguez.

          Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, with Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
