Funeral services for Jacqueline Dominy Pyle, 94, of Bullard, will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas with Brother Grant Hanes officiating.

           Mrs. Pyle was born on March 12, 1932, in Pine Prairie, Texas, to the late Jack Dowdy Dominy and the late Julia Alberta (English) Dominy, and died Friday, July 31, 2026, in Bullard.

          Jacqueline was the eleventh child of twelve children in her family. She dearly loved her Lord and Savior. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, singing, and playing her guitar. Her favorites songs were old gospel tunes and country songs, especially those by George Jones. Jacqueline was a deeply devoted family member who loved her children, family and friends very much.

          She is survived by daughter, Rene’ Strawther of Huntington; son, Dwayne Lowe and wife, Margaret of Houston County, Texas; daughter, Sheryl Dickerson of Como, Mississippi; daughter, Lynette Ponder of Tyler, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Garrett and husband Jerry of Jacksonville, Texas; grandchildren, Donna Perry, Michael Hill, Kim Johnson, Terry Liles, Angie Reece, Justin Dickerson, Kelli Peebles, Joseph Ponder, and Julia Ponder; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Stacey Coffy; great-grandson, Kyle Little; and great-grandson, Christopher Hill.

          Pallbearers will be Justin Dickerson, Joseph Ponder, Brayson Mims, Parker Perry, Logan Stoddard, and Liam Gates.

          Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home.
