James David Howell

           A Memorial Service for James David Howell, 48, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Road Church in Lufkin with Brother Ty Phillips officiating.

           Mr. Howell was born on October 25, 1977, in Lufkin, to the late James and Nelda Howell, and died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Lufkin, Texas.

          James is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Tiffany and Stephen Wars of Lufkin; sister, Laura South of Lufkin; niece, Courtney Vaughn of North Carolina; niece, Elizabeth Chipman of Lufkin; niece, Kyra South of Diboll; nephew, Kasper South of Diboll; nephew, Clark Chipman of Lufkin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Edna Howell; maternal grandparents, David and Mamie Cobb; and numerous aunts and uncles.
