James Michael McNamara, Jr.

          Memorial services for James Michael McNamara Jr., 40, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

         Michael was born February 2, 1981, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to James Michael McNamara Sr. and Brenda Lou (Moser) Martin, and died Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Zavalla.

         This is an obituary for a son who passed away too soon. He was a sweet man who loved his family, his daughter, and loved making everyone laugh. He loved to fish with family and friends, even though he would catch the most fish on the fewest worms. He loved to design all kind of interesting, moveable parts and other things using Legos, with his daughter.

          He is survived by his daughter, Lillian Michaela McNamara; mother, Brenda Martin; brother and sister-in-law, David, and Gina Moser; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn, and Kenneth Gregory; niece and husband, Lacey and Brandon Humble; nephews, Joshua Ward and Cody Ward; uncle, Jimmy Moser; aunts, Debra Brackman, and Kimberly Ard; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

          He was preceded in death by his father, James Michael McNamara, Sr.; dad, Robert Earl Martin; aunt, Elizabeth Cunningham; and grandmother, Gloria Moser.
