Funeral services for Jerald “Jerry” Holloway, 71, of Huntington, will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Allen Bailey officiating.

          Mr. Holloway was born on May 5, 1953, in Smith Center, Kansas, to the late Leonard and Louise Holloway, and died Friday, January  31, 2025, in Huntington.

          Mr. Holloway loved to hunt, and working in his garden tending to his flowers and vegetables. He spent many years of his life owning a grocery store where he enjoyed working.   

          He is survived by his wife, Kathy; stepson and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Stephanie Nerren, stepson and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cristi Nerren; stepson, Tracey Nerren; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Penny and Allen Bailey; brother and sister-in-law, Larry “Tick” and Bonnie Holloway; 7 step grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; special friends, Laquetta Fleming and Paul Cota; along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. 

          He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dr. Lisa McLane; and grandparents.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Bailey, Kenneth Windsor, Randy Deal, Darrell Brandon, Norman Deal, Dusty Stringer and Buddy Foraker.
