Memorial services for Jessica Jo Durant, 55, of Diboll, will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Sister Charlene Justus officiating.

          Mrs. Durant was born on April 24, 1970, in Lufkin, Texas, to Charles Ray Hambrick and Linda Kay (Sharman) McCallum, and died Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Diboll.

          Mrs. Durant retired from Dedicated Medical Center as a medical assistant. Outside of work she enjoyed fishing, riding four wheelers, and most of all spending time with her beloved grandbabies. Jessica took pride in always looking her best and loved getting her hair and nails done. She had a very feisty and fierce personality. Above all she was known for her unconditional love. She didn’t sugarcoat anything, but she’d move mountains for the people she cared about.  

          She is survived by her daughter and fiancé, Sarah Nichols and Justin Turner of Lufkin; mother, Linda McCallum of Lufkin; granddaughter, Brooklyn Nichols of Lufkin; grandson, Oryn Nichols of Lufkin; sister, Pamela Hambrick; brother and wife, William Shockley, Jr. and Shannon Shockley; nephews and nieces, Michael Davis, Samantha Black, Jenny Davis, Justin Alvarado, Michael Hambrick, William Hughes, and James Shockley.

          She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Ray and Grace Hambrick, and Jesse and Zella Sharman; brother, Glenn Hambrick; and best friend, Jeffrey Durant.
