Jewel “Granny” Morris, 94, of Lufkin, was born March 6, 1930, in Bandera, Texas, to the late Joseph Troy Carnley and Myrtie (Cole) Carnley, and died Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Morris loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Ray Morris and Jerry Morris, both of Lufkin; grandson, John Joseph Morris; granddaughter, Linsey Diane Morris; grandson, Ian Patrick Morris; great-grandson, Darion Wesley Grimes; great-granddaughter, Cerulean Grimes; nephew, Lanny Carnley of Lufkin; nephew, Bennis Troy Carnley of Lufkin; and niece, Sherry Haggard of San Marcos, TX.
Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnie Morris, Jr.; daughter, Judy Ann Weeks; and brother, Ira Carnley.
