Jimmy Wayne Smith

          Jimmy Wayne Smith, 73, of Zavalla, was born December 9, 1948,  in Lufkin, Texas to Benjamin Frank and Hazel (Hopson) Smith and died December 29, 2021, in Port Arthur, Texas. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

          Jimmy proudly served his county in the United States Army and later retired from truck driving.

          He is survived by his nephews and nieces, Don and Kaitlyn Easley of Zavalla, Billy Evans of Zavalla, Delton Billeaudeau of Zavalla, Bobby and Mary Evans of Huntington, Frank and Robbie Billeaudeau of Lufkin, and Deborah Calhoun of Conroe; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

          He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.

          Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
