Graveside services for Jo Ann Clark, 72, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at Resthaven North Memorial Park in Midland, Texas.

          Miss Clark was born on November 15, 1951, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late M.J. Clark and Shorty (Helton) Clark and died Monday, May 13, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas.

          Jo Ann’s passion was Genealogy, and she spent many years researching her family history. She also enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader. Jo Ann graduated from Angelo State University and obtained her Masters of Library Science from North Texas State University and retired from Midland County after 20 years of service, where she served as Assistant Branch Manager at the Midland County Library.

          She is survived by her brother and his wife, Michael J. and Vikki Clark of Crosby, TX, nephews Christopher Clark and Jeremy Clark of Crosby, TX, niece Lindsay Clark of Crosby, TX and aunt Loretta Glende of Brainerd, MN.

          Jo Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Shorty (Helton) Clark, and her father, M.J. Clark, and her maternal grandmother, Opal (Gunnels) Martin.
