Graveside services for John Henry Madden, 80, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, April 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Whitehouse Cemetery in Lufkin with Bro. Lewis Jones officiating.
Mr. Madden was born October 12, 1941, in Grand Saline, Texas, to Emmitt Madden and Martha (Inez) Madden, and died Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in Lufkin.
Mr. Madden loved going to flea markets and casinos. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was also a huge fan of antiques and classic cars.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Alice (Duff) Madden of Lufkin, TX; daughter, Alesia Kennedy of Lufkin, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and J.R. Mings of Lufkin, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Mickal and Betty Collier of Huntington, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Johna and Morris Childers of Apple Springs, TX; daughter, Kimberly Richards and Paul Kinser of Blueridge, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Mickey and Michael Turner of McKinney, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Gray of Pollok, TX; Grandchildren, Candace Schroeder, John Alan Adams, Tyler Dawson, Matthew Adams, Kurtis Gray, Kirstin McLauglin, Mason Turner, Cory Hazelip, Jonathan Gray, Ethan Collier, Micaden Turner, Haley Gray, Kerigan Richards; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Madden of Pollok, TX; sister, Ruthie Chote of Grand Saline, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Inez Madden; first wife, Sarah Gholson Madden; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Milford Minatrea; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Mary Madden; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and John Sparks; and sister and brother-in-law Wilda and Charles Koonce.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
