Graveside services for John “Johnny” Bridges, 69, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gann Cemetery in Pollok, Texas, with Reverend Jonathan Whittemore officiating.

          Mr. Bridges was born on May 19, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late John Alton Bridges, Sr. and the late Kathryn Lee (Toney) Bridges, and died on Friday, August 31, 2026, in Conroe, Texas.

          Johnny was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking out in his free time. If you challenged him to a game of 42, you had better be prepared to lose. He was devoted to his family and most of all, he loved spending time with his grandbabies and being around his family and friends.

          He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Trey and Tasha Bridges of Broaddus, Texas; daughter, Ashley Bridges of Huntington; grandchildren, Kinley Bridges and Jaxson Bridges; numerous nieces and nephews; sister and brother-in-law, Patty Bridges Morgan and Cliff Morgan of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Bridges Lindsey and Bert Lindsey of Streetman, Texas; and very special friends, Theodore Perez, Lillian Stilson, JoAnn Rice, and Steve and Kaye Manley.

          Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Wayne Bridges; and brother, Randy Alan Bridges.
